Check out the debut La Cedille album Vu Du Large out now. Having already been aired on a few Chocolate Fireguard compilations and according to some magazines literally stealing the show, here at long last is the hotly anticipated debut album from this amazing live seven piece French hip hop unit. La Cedille (previously known as Ça) 'bring together North African and French influences with hiphop and a brass section to create their very own sound' (Music Week). Indeed! Picking up some serious DJ reactions (no 8 DJ Mag's Beats and Breaks chart and no 17 DMC World Hip Hop chart) and radio plays from the likes of Gilles Peterson and Excalibah. Album of the issue, DJ Magazine: “With Vu Du Large they've produced one of the classiest and most confident rap LPs of recent years without barely breaking a sweat. (Paul Clarke) 5/5. Over in France the guys have just won Le Fair for 2006! More info here.
